How does laser light
WORK
In our body, the laser light activates certain enzyme processes that trigger ATP production. The ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is the only and most important form of energy that runs every chemical reaction in every cell of the body. The consequence of the increased energy production is the more efficient function (metabolism) of the cells and the faster regeneration, thus the healing time of the diseases is shortened.
Soft laser treatment does not only relieve the symptoms of the diseases but as a result of complex biological and chemical processes, it eliminates the cause of the diseases in many cases.
In 1966, Professor Endre Mester was researching the possible adverse side effects of low-power (soft lasers). When he found out that not only do „soft-lasers” lack any adverse side effects, but on the contrary, they have a beneficial biostimulative effect on the human body.
This means that the cells and tissues, lit by soft laser light are able to heal / regenerate faster (e.g. accelerated wound healing). Laser light increases cell metabolism, even new cells, tissues and capillaries are formed.
In the late 1970s, a Hungarian research team consisting of doctors and physicists realised that the „polarisation” of laser light plays an important role in the beneficial „biostimulative” effect.
Since lasers at that time were very expensive, low-efficiency and dangerous to human eyesight, this research team created a much cheaper and eye-safe ordinary lamp, the light of which they polarised. This was the predecessor of today’s polarised lamps (e.g. Bioptron).
The success story of the next 30 years proved well, how beneficial polarised light is to the human body.
The recently developed semiconductor lasers, are much more powerful, much more efficient and cheaper than the polarised lights, however they are still dangerous to the eye.
Therefore, in 2012, Károly Rózsa (doctor of Hungarian Academy of Sciences after several years of research, has created a special diffusion soft laser, that is harmless to the human eye, and thus made it possible to replace the polarised lights for a much more effective, new therapeutical laser light, which you now can use in the comfort of your home. Why is “soft-laser” therapy,
more effective than traditional polarized lamps ?
Laser light has much more physiologically beneficial effects, because its light is not only polarised (vibrating in the same plane) like polarised light lamps, but is also monochromatic (one-color) and coherent (orderly wave properties) as well.
On the coherent light of the laser, the oscillating light waves in the same phase and the evolving intensity-modulation on the treatment surface can initiate important biological processes at the cellular level in our body. Coherence is unique to laser light sources.
Monochromatic laser light delivers 100% of its power at 660 nano meters (nm) which is physiologically the most important wavelength while the power of polarized light lamps is spread over the entire 480-3400nm spectrum. This means that with polarized light lamps, only a very small power is obtained for the physiologically important wavelength (e.g. 660nm) and is therefore not as effective as soft laser light therapy.
Research has shown, that wounds treated with laser light heal 20% faster than when illuminated with plain polarised light.
Moreover (e.g. ulcerative) wounds which did not heal due to the conventional polarised light therapy healed fast after laser treatment.
Mitochondria of different cells react to lights of various wave length
(colour) in distinct measures. From the whole spectrum the red (e.g. 660nm) and infrared (e.g. 808nm) lights have the strongest curing effect.
Soft lasers have a biostimulating effect on all living organisms. This means that cells and tissues are able to regenerate faster when enlightened with soft laser light (eg wound healing is accelerated). Laser light increases the metabolism of cells, and even new cells, tissues and new capillaries are formed. Soft laser light also stimulates certain immune processes.
In summary, laser light stimulates the body’s ability to heal itself. In addition, it has a number of beneficial effects on the body e.g. pain relief, anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling, reduces muscle tension, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, stimulates the regeneration of damaged nerves.
Safe Laser devices have a new, special laser light source that, like other lasers, emits polar, coherent, monochromatic light, but unlike traditional lasers, its light is not parallel and cannot be focused optically into points.
This new technology is called “Safe Laser”.
This lamp is harmless to the eye because the light comes out of a relatively large scattering surface, it has a large distance, so the eye lens cannot focus on a small spot of light, so it does not cause damage to the retina and optic nerves.
Eye damage is caused by focusing light on the lens on a smaller surface, and the resulting high power density can damage the eye.
The degree of the damage depends on the amount (power) of light reaching the eyepiece and the size (surface area) of the focused light spot.
The light from conventional lasers (nearly parallel) can reach the eyepiece even from a great distance and focus the eye into a point. The resulting high power density damages the eyes.
The “Safe Laser” optics scatter the laser light with a scattering lens.
This is followed by a secondary (tertiary) large scattering surface that ensures that the eyepiece cannot focus the light into a point. Thus, in the plane of focus, the light is distributed over a large area, so that no harmfully high power density is generated.
